Crafter Joanne Gambale on Grace by Grace Coddington
At Summer Stories, we've asked our favourite authors and changemakers for their best summer story.
"It has to be the memoirs of US Vogue veteran stylist Grace Coddington. I read most of it during a holiday at Guerilla Bay on the NSW south coast, where we stay in a cottage right on the beach. It was a funny cycle of escapism; here I was, far away from Sydney and the Vogue offices [where I work], yet finding so delicious the escape-from-the-escape that was within this bright orange book cover. Like Grace, the book is witty, refreshingly candid and drool-enticingly fascinating."
Joanne Gambale is a Sydney-based writer, editor and regular contributor to Vogue Living.
