Creator of SOJOURNE Luggage Chelsea Floros reveals her babymoon reading
At Summer Stories, we've asked our favourite changemakers for their best summer read, like Chelsea Floros of SOJOURNE luggage.
Chelsea, tell us your favourite summer story.
Honestly, the last book I read was on my babymoon in Noosa. It was The First Six Weeks by Midwife Cath. I remember reading over the parts that scared me! But also laughing because my little bun in the oven appeared to go crazy with her kicking when I was sunbaking! However, I am trying to get back into reading and recently started Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens.
Tell us about your creation: SOJOURNE Luggage?
SOJOURNE is a collection of travel pieces designed for the fashion-forward traveller who wants a travel accessory as stylish as they are! Whether it's a romantic sojourn, a much-needed staycation or an overnight work trip - we all deserve to feel like an A-lister, even just for a weekend!
The inspiration came from a seven-piece luggage set my Mum received on her 21st birthday. Now, over 50 years later she still has some pieces and I thought - why not make luggage luxe again? Unless you can spend thousands on the luxury brands, there was nothing in between an old gym bag or a Louis Vuitton suitcase... and so SOJOURNE was born!
And if you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?
Ohhh a magic wand. Well, the Maldives is VERY enticing at the moment, because if you have to be in isolation you may as well be doing it there! However, currently, I'm living in the USA and missing home and our family and friends so I would definitely be heading home to Australia.
